Any more questions? Contact us and we’ll be happy to help. We would love to hear from you.

We begin with short separation times, as children need to have faith that their caregiver will return. This builds trust and mutual understanding. Once these brief periods become the norm, we will extend the length of separation. A comforter from home often helps, something like a blanket, toy or teddy bear. It is normal for a child to cry during their initial stage of semi-independence at school. Please remember that it is a natural, healthy response to the love that you have given them so far.

At SOLIDBASE, Level 1 children who opt to stay full day will have a nap time after lunch.

It is strongly encouraged that all children starting in Level 1, be potty-trained. It is a prerequisite. However, occasional bathroom accidents are attended to and handled by the school.

Children may bring a healthy snack to eat during snack break, around 10:45 am. School lunch time is 12:30 pm. Parents are encouraged to send an appropriate quantity of food that their child can consume. Parents are urged to avoid sending unhealthy, spicy, and oily options. Additionally, we ask parents to check the food for saltiness and spiciness before packing. Feel free to explore a variety of food items, even those your little one may not be initially interested in eating.

All children will be walked to the pick up lines under the shady tree on the west side of the school. Children will be supervised at all times. You may either wait in the car line for driveway pick up or park your car in the designated area and walk to pick up your child. Please wait outside for your child to arrive.

Parents can access information instantly about their children’s classroom activities, schedule, and plans through our MC app,  which also provides access to contact the school and the teachers via messages. In addition to class specific information, all school events, notices from classroom teachers, school holidays, and photos can be accessed on the secure MC App.

Co-operative play is something we truly value. But it has to be learned, as well as appeal to our social instincts. The best way to achieve this is by copying what we see. Therefore, our teachers and educators model play and co-operate whenever they can, so the kids get a sense of what it looks like. Taking turns, acting gently, speaking in a kind manner: all of these are examples of positive reinforcement. Soon enough, the play will start to diffuse social tension as a result.
